Good afternoon everyone! Has Fr. Ripperger spoken or written anything on Pokémon? A friend has grandchildren in a catholic school where the gym teacher is teaching the younger children pre-K and up Pokémon. Incorporating it into the gym class especially for the little kids. So much so that many of the kids wanted Pokémon themed birthday parties. A new and much more traditional priest, was assigned to the parish this past July. She’s already spoken to him with regards to the yoga that was also being taught to the children but also wanted to speak with him about Pokémon and give home something in writing regarding church teaching but is having a hard time finding anything. Would be grateful if anyone had and suggestions.

That was in 2000 when it was first becoming a craze. It now seems to have taken on a demonic side and for some kids even idolatry. I understand Pope John Paul II may have spoken positively on it, and the Bishops back then even some participating in 2016 in the hunt for them when you could download an app on your phone and hunt for them all around town including the Vatican. Some Bishops said to search for Jesus instead.
